Jim Shoemaker, Callis’ Outdoor Sports Marketing Specialist, recently participated in a marketing communications symposium hosted by the NSSF, National Shooting Sports Foundation, in Dallas, Texas. Marketing communication professionals representing NSSF members from all over the country came together for the two-day event to exchange ideas, discuss industry issues and learn how to benefit more from NSSF programs, research and initiatives.
While there were many educating and insightful speakers at this year’s event, the open forum “Think Tank,” had attendees discussing the hot topic, the growth of blogging in the shooting sports arena. Participants discussed how to engage bloggers and use real-time marketing opportunities to impact a growing social media savvy industry.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation is a non-profit trade association and advocate for the shooting, hunting and firearms industry, with a mission to promote, protect and preserve hunting and shooting sports for generations to come.
