Several members of the Callis & Associates team recently participated in the NRA Show, the annual exposition and meeting of the nation's largest organization promoting the rights of gun owners and shooting enthusiasts.
The show was held May 15-18 at the Louisville Exposition Center and attracted more than 65,000 people. One of the highlights was a surprise visit by Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain. The former Vietnam POW addressed a group of exhibitors and guests on Friday afternoon.
The keynote speaker was talk show host and best-selling author Glenn Beck. Attendees also could participate in a number of educational seminars with topics such as deer hunting, handloading, and concealed carry.
Callis & Associates started attending the NRA show several years ago to help its shooting sport clients man their booths and to meet with members of the trade press to boost public relations efforts. Attending the show this year were company President Cliff Callis, Vice President Jim Shoemaker and Public Relations Director Lisa Church.
Callis clients exhibiting at the 2008 NRA Show included Sierra Bullets, Starline, Brownell's, DoubleStar and S&K Gunstocks.
“We're pleased to be able to help our clients get maximum exposure for their products and services and to strengthen our relationships in the industry,” said Cliff Callis. “We're looking forward to next year's show in Phoenix.”
Callis & Associates, based in Sedalia, MO, provides clients in the outdoor sports industry with strategic marketing, advertising, public relations, sales promotion and interactive services.
