Much Better Than Fair
Gorgeous days, great free entertainment and a better carnival combined to make this year's Missouri State Fair a resounding success. Figures show attendance was up 20 percent from last year. Some of the big hits on the grounds included a free circus, the high-energy Vocal Trash band, and lots of prize livestock. This is Callis' 13th year as agency of record for the Fair. |
Coal Is Still Cool
Callis & Associates President Cliff Callis recently participated in Coal-Gen 2008 with agency client ProEnergy Services. Coal-Gen is the industry's most dynamic event covering the latest topics affecting design, development, upgrading, operation and maintenance of coal-fueled power plants. The show was held Aug. 13-15 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville and drew more than 4,000 attendees and 350 exhibitors. ProEnergy made some very important industry contacts during the show and learned more about changing regulations regarding coal emissions, which is a hot topic in the industry.
